Smt Tamma Kotamma Reddy Polytechnic (Smt TKR Polytechnic) is a dream of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals in setting up an Institute that imparts quality Technical Education to youth in rural area. Smt TKR Polytechnic has been sponsored and established by The Hindu and High Branch School Society, Machilipatnam in the year 1987-88. The Hindu and High Branch School Society started under the designation of the Hindu Anglo and Vernacular School in 1856, a name which retained for many years. With the Passage of time, the school gradually developed and the Society changed its name as The Hindu and High Branch School Society by which name it was registered in the year 1896.

This Polytechnic is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education & Training, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. This polytechnic is located in the village of Pamarru which is situated on the high way from Vijayawada to Machilipatnam of Krishna District. At present this polytechnic offers the following Engineering Diploma courses.

1. Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECE)
2. Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCME)
3. Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering(DEEE)

Since its inception, the college has been making relentless efforts in maintaining standards in teaching while ensuring proper character building and development among the students, organizing personality development programs for nurturing leadership in young men and women so as to enable them to become good resourceful citizens who can create a better world for all of us to live in tomorrow. This Polytechnic has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and supporting staff, state of the art laboratory and workshop facilities, computer facilities , library, outdoor and indoor games, internet facilities and separate hostels for Boys and Girls.

T.Bhaskara Reddy is working as Principal at Smt TKR Polytechnic, Pamarru from 2008. He also worked as Head of the department of ECE at Smt TKR Polytechnic during 2005-2007. He worked as an Associate Lecturer at Smt TKR Polytechnic during 1991-2005. He obtained his BTech degree during 1983-87 from KSRM college of engineering, Kadapa, affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, and completed MS from BITS Pilani, during 1993-95.
